Here's to a new beginning!

Happy New Year, Beautiful People!

I want to take this time to thank you so much for your wonderful support and love throughout 2012. Hope you’ve all had a restful holiday break over the Christmas. Like many of you I’ve had some challenges in 2012  but I’ve always practised “counting my blessings not my sorrows” as each new day comes. And I have a lot to be thankful for. Too many things to name, but thankful to God for my life, my wonderful blessed family and awesome friends. Being a mommy is my greatest joy above all else.

As an author 2012 was a remarkable year. Thanks to you, The Bride Series and Whirlwind Romance Series has sold over 200,000 copies worldwide. I was also featured on CTV Canada AM in April 2012 (an awesome experience thanks to the wonderful producers and crew) and featured on  iReaderReviewsTop 100 Indie Authors Blog  at no. 32 with sales of 22,800 copies sold for the month of July 2012 alone. Huge congrats to Bella Andre who sold 168,481 copies that month at no. 1 on the list and Ruth Cardello who sold over 60,000 copies, Judy Angelo  who sold 17,352 copies and to all the other authors on the list... (thanks Meaghan for compiling the list).

When I started self-publishing digitally I sold 4 copies in my first month and was so excited for those four wonderful readers who took the time to read my labour of love. Every reader is precious and appreciated whether one makes 1 sale or 1 million.

And as they say writers write alone but they don’t succeed that way…so I’m giving another shout out to my family, friends, readers, author friends, Fenn, Judy, Ruth, Yvonne, Catherine B., Catherine P., Jennifer, Phoenix, Melody, David, Joe, Bella, Victorine, and all others that I have not named but you know who you are. Blessings to you all. Especially to the great folks at Kindleboards. The best community of writers and readers I’ve ever known. Love you all and wish you all the best of 2013!

Yes, it's true for those of you who aspire to write for a living--dreams can come true with hard work and dedication. Anything is possible.
